Product I Continuously Buy

I am a beauty and food addict. Sometimes beauty is a little challenging to write about it, because  there is so much good stuff out there, and requires a more detailed review, but I would love to share products with you that I continuously buy:

  1. Moroccan Oil (I purchased this 4 times–since trying it 3 years ago). It’s a great product, and now it’s like conditioner, body wash & shampoo– it’s apart of my routine. I put it in my hair after I shower, put it in my hair after I’m done styling it!
  2. TRESemme Heat Protectant Spray (the red bottle– I’ve purchased this 3 times since trying it in 2011). I feel like this is a great product –and hopefully it’s doing what it’s suppose to –because i feel like it is and it smells greats and curbs the frizz mid going out or mid-dinner with friends!
  3. Apple Cider Vinegar (bought this twice since buying it in October, 2013). I am obsessed and will have a WHOLE post dedicated to it! Needless to say: great for your HAIR, SKIN AND WEIGHT!
  4. NARS “Larger Than Life” lipgloss in Place Vendôme: OMG LOVE IT! AHHHH but I hate the price tag ($26). I only wear it for special occasions/going out & the quality and consistency is awesome, it’s thick, glossy, stays put, leaves my mark on glasses, and has a pretty residual effect!  when i wear it people always notice it and my girl friends are always trying to “borrow it”  so it’s  WINNER! and once i get some time I’ll go out and purchase it again!!
  5. Revlon  Lip Butter in Candy Apple: I’ve purchased it twice. great color, feels great, and doesn’t flake or dry out!
  6. Nexxus Shampoo and Conditioner: I’ve been buying it since 2009. Salon quality product – i like the lather.
  7. Foaming make-up cloths:  I usually buy Oil of Olay or Ponds, which ever one is on sale – they’re both great. i use them alot when i’m worried about over working my skin with the Clarisonic!
  8. Neutrogena Grapefruit Body Wash and Face Wash: (Purchased this 4 times!) It seems natural and I like the grapefruit aspect.
  9. Make Up Forever’s Black Eye Liner: LOVE THIS. i use to wear regular drugstore liner (Revlon, Cover Girl, etc) but it would always end up ON my contacts and then at some point during the night my eyes would feel irritated and my vision would blur! Ever since buying this I can say that it’s NEVER HAPPENED. I love this product, and WILL be purchasing it again ($20).
  10. Falsie’s Mascara with the bottom lash brush: LOVE this mascara. My relationship with it is turbulent because it dries out out my lashes and sometimes flakes — but I the results i get with Falsie’s does not compare to any other brand i’ve tried — it’s just AWESOME – people always compliment my lashes. I have purchased at least 5 or 6 tubes!

Which one should you buy: The Regular Clarisonic Vs. The Mia

Hey Friend!

One of my girlfriends JUST purchased the Clarisonic after reading about it on here!  Prior to purchasing it, she called,  sounding confused, about whether to purchase the Mia, or the full/regular Clarisonic. I suddenly realized I made a grave mistake about not telling you how I came to the conclusion to get the REGULAR Clarisonic versus (vs.) the Mia.

Why I bought the Regular Clarisonic:

  • There are more settings in the regular Clarisonic then on the Mia.
  • You have the ability to use the body brush (the Mia is suppose to only be used on your face)
  • The Mia is cheaper in price, but only by $60-$80.
  • When you buy the regular Clarisonic you get a body brush which is around $20.  (So really the Mia is only ($40-$60 cheaper)
  • I ACTUALLY use the body brush, since it is great for ingrown hairs and expoliating your skin. I have grown up with back and shoulder acne (bacne), and I actually believe that by using the body brush (the body brush setting allows you to use the brush in different speed settings, without a timer and pulsates) helped with my bacne in conjunction with a salicylic acid body wash.

Reasons Why I’m happy I did not get the Mia :

  • If I’m already spending the money, why not spend alittle bit more to get ALL of the benefits?
  • I want settings that I can alternate between and play with & you’ll notice that the first setting maybe to LIGHT for your skin, or not as effective as the other settings. Sometimes I will use different settings for different parts of my face.
  • You could use the Mia on your body, but then it will AUTOMATICALLY shut off after two minutes & you’ll have to turn it back on (and you will obviously need to buy another brush, since using the sane brush on your body and face sounds gross.

Product Review: Spring Facial Hair Removal

(This is the SPRING facial hair remover. You can purchase it for $1.83 by this Amazon seller)

My friends would definitely qualify me as a TOUGH critic, seeing as I am always looking for pros AND cons when I buy a product. Hopefully, I can find more pros, than I can cons, and if I do, I usually tell all my girlfriends about the product, and they usually end up buying it one by one (I think I should get commission).

The SPRING Facial hair remover is one of the best products I have purchased under $5. It has saved me hundreds of dollars. I use to spend $5 every other week getting my upper lip hair threaded. I know going to get it threaded seems excessive, but waxing my upper lip hair was turning into a horrible idea, since I was taking off my upper lip SKIN! After numerous encounters with my skin coming off or being irritated, I decided that threading would be my only option (plucking was  an option, just NOT that realistic).

I luckily heard about this product on the Today Show, and decided  to conduct my own due diligence, and I heard some good reviews about it, so I decided to check it out!  Thank God, I did because I love it! It saves me $, time,  & gas. I can do it whenever I am free, and at my own convenience, and I can thread my upper lip hair twice a week, once a week or every other week incurring  NO additional costs!

As I stated before, I am ALWAYS looking for cons (here they are):

  1. You need to clean the spring after each use or each other use, or you will break out!
  2. Mine rusted after sometime (I have yet to replace it, but I think I should do that soon)
  3. It hurt (but so does regular threading)

Tips on using it:

  1. Use the SPRING after showering, it hurts less!
  2. Wash your face after using the spring, and then use toner!
  3. If you’re confused about the turning technique, then check out a youtube video!

I hope you decide to give this product a try. It is cheaper than a latte at Starbucks, and could end up saving you way more than you expected.

P.S. Here is an easy video on how to use it:
