I love being a tourist in my own state/neighboring state! I seem to always take for granted all the little gems that are near by — luckily I know someone who is well acquainted with GA history, and history in general (visit: Countytrip.wordpress.com), so it’s always a blast when they take me along for the ride.
Now on to my outfit for the day (OOTD): I’m wearing a white cotton sleeveless button down from H&M (probably $12?), bright coral shorts from J. Crew ( probably $20), a Missoni inspired cuff from Forever21 ($9), & tan suede oxford shoes from Express ($25).
I absolutely love picnics! They’re my favorite part of the spring and summer season. I just went on one yesterday– the weather was in the high 70’s, a little windy, great company & not to crowded. I couldn’t have been any happier. We enjoyed drunken goat & manchego cheese, a baguette, curried chicken salad, & tiramisu!
All of the treats were from Alon’s! The tiramisu was perfect: light, not to sweet, and an awesome mixture of flavors.
I just started my summer internship at an Entertainment Law practice! The practice has represented entertainment like: Jagged Edge, Arrested Development, Cabbage Patch Kids, The Black Crows, & many more! It’s exciting to be learning about such an “entertaining” field! I would absolutely love to negotiate contracts, on behalf of, people pursing the arts. I think that creativity is the key to any thriving & successful society, and being able to participate in protecting it –is a privilege.
My boss emailed told me to dress on the casual side –so I went for business casual. It was the perfect idea. I straightened my hair & parted it down the middle. I really wanted a clean-cut, but feminine look.
Blouse: Forever21 (I think –$20- purchased in March, 2013)
My muse has finally arrived. One of my friend’s, best friends, has finally arrived to my city! I honestly have been counting down his arrival, since I’ve been dying to regularly post Men’s outfit of the day!
This guy could seriously be a male model, but, instead, he chose to attend law school. He is one of the best dressed guys I know, and puts very little effort in his outfits. I guess he is one of those guys that has a good sense of style, and knows what fits his body type. We went to Starbucks today and here is what he wore (also it took him about ten mins to shower & get ready this morning–so he instinctually has good taste!)
You can see his whole outfit from here. He is wearing a Shirt from J.Crew, Jeans from H&M, Toy Watch, & Sperry’s.

He does an excellent job pulling off the tortoise glasses.
Anyways, this is a SUPER simple outfit. Make sure the pieces fit you well & aren’t TOO baggy. Keep one or two of the buttons undone (and do some light manscaping) –you’ll be good to go! Best of luck!
The blue top is from H&M, the pants are from some shop in Dubai, the shoes are NineWest and the necklace is from Forever 21. The maxi dress is from Express.
The dress to the Left is from Marshall’s or TJ Maxx. The dress to the Right is from Urban Outfitters & the belt is from H&M.
Some delicious brunch items I have recently consumed:
Brunch. I absolutely love it. I love it to the point where, instead of having a birthday dinner when I was 21, I decided to venture out and enjoy Birthday Brunch with my girlfriends. Ever since then brunch has become a staple for my girlfriends & me. We always seem to dress to our nines, wearing maxi’s getting a little dolled up, because lets face it another woman can appreciate the hard work another woman puts in when getting dolled up.
I tend to be more conservative in my dress code, but that is because I would be embarrassed to step into a respectable establishment wearing an inappropriate sun dress. You never know what type of crowd you will be surrounded by. I would rather be safe, then sorry. Remember YOU are a brand, you have to start tweaking and tailoring your image as soon as you figure out whom you want to be, and how you want to emulate that image ( I will dedicate a post on whom you want to be, and how you want to emulate the image, fairly soon–I promise).
